The Egyptian E-Learning University offers 30 scholarships for early adopters of the Republic and those with disabilities

The Egyptian E-Learning University  announced that it will offer full scholarships for Egyptian   

 students from all over the country to obtain a bachelor's degree in the Faculties of Computers,      

 Information and Business Administration, provided that the scholarships cover the full tuition      

fees for the duration of the academic years.

Hisham Abdel Salam, President of the University, said that the Minister of Higher Education and

Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, always provides great support to the university,

believing that e-learning is the future educational model, especially since the Egyptian E-

Learning University became the leading Egyptian university that provides the opportunity for

distance learning.

The president of the university explained that the purpose of providing these scholarships is to

provide excellent educational opportunities for top students at the level of the country to study at

the Egyptian E-Learning University, which is one of the best electronic universities in the

Middle East and Africa.

He also revealed the allocation of five full free scholarships out of the top 30 students in each

section of the general secondary education (science section – math section). He explained that

the five scholarships include enrollment in any educational system at the university, and include

the academic and administrative expenses, provided that the student is Egyptian and registered in

Thanaweya Amma in an Egyptian public school in the academic year preceding the year of

progression.

 

Professor Abdel Salam pointed out that the university opens its doors to students of

determination by allocating 20 scholarships for them, in cooperation with the Misr El-Kheir

Foundation. There are 10 scholarships provided for those with disabilities, and the other 10 are

for disabled who have excelled in studies. In addition, the university allocates five annual

scholarships for those with a thanaweya aama degree with its two divisions - science

section/math section - according to a grant for each of the governorates in which the study

centers are located, provided that the applicant is among the top ten at the governorate level,

according to an official document from the Ministry of Education or one of its bodies or the

governorate, which confirms the type of school and the student’s rank at the level of his

governorate.

Abdel Salam completed that the university provide grants for academic excellence which include

a discount from 30% to 50% of the tuition fees allocated to undergraduate students. Also the

university offers a 20% discount for students who have siblings in the university.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian E-Learning University is accredited by the Ministry of Higher

Education and the Supreme Council of Universities, and it was established by Republican Decree

No. 223 of 2008 as the first Egyptian university to adopt the principle of e-learning. Later, the

university was transformed into a national university, according to a Presidential Decree No. 71

of 2018, as the first Egyptian non-profit university that offers a unique model of e-learning that

was able to liberate students from the factors of space and time, while preserving communication

and interaction between teachers and students, through flexible educational techniques based on

e-learning and self-learning in addition to stick to a curricula that are contemporary and linked to the labor market.
