The President of the National Committee for Human Rights hosted by the Egyptian E-Learning University

The National Egyptian E-Learning University is holding an awareness seminar on the principles of human rights in society, in which the Ambassador Dr/ Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights, will speak in the presence of Prof0Hisham Abdel Salam, President of the University, at the university’s study center in the guest house at Ain Shams University tomorrow, on Monday at 11:00 A.m.

Hisham Abdel Salam, President of the University, said that this seminar comes within the symposiums held by the Equal Opportunities Unit at the National Egyptian E-Learning University, based on the university's social responsibility as an academic edifice towards its students and the surrounding community. In light of an integrated human rights system that is witnessing a great development during the era of President Sisi, who launched a strategy for human rights in Egypt, as well as the National Dialogue Initiative in April of this year, in addition to the Presidential Amnesty Committee to follow up on all cases and lists that are identified are signed and ratified.

Abdel Salam added that the seminar will address the national strategy for human rights and the role played by the National Council in spreading the culture of human rights as one of the national institutions supporting the dissemination of this culture.

It is worth mentioning that the university established the Equal Opportunities Unit to highlight the support for Egyptian and Arab women, educate young men and women and society about the extent of women's influence in all aspects of society as an active and fruitful member.

Its vision seeks to establish a "safe" university community that guarantees the safety and promote equal opportunities for men and women as partners and complete each other in society. We also aim to create an environment with more awareness and free from any form of violence or violence Discrimination against girls and women from university students, faculty members or university employees, and contributing to spread awareness through the surrounding civil society, as part of the university’s social responsibility.

Finally, the university is committed to provide an educational environment in which male and female students are valued, respected, and equal in rights and duties.
